Well, these few days have been crazy.
Just celebrated Adelyn's birthday today. Brought her to eat Tandoori at Jaggi's at Little India. Great food. But also, great price! Gosh..the 13 of us ate a grand total of $143 (after GST) O.o
*13 of us comprised of : Adelyn (Birthday girl), Me, Nick, Anjney, Aaron, Ankush, Ravjit, Chun Kit, Cai Yi, Dharlynnie, Caesar, Shubh and Shao Wen.
Yeap. But the food was really great. We had lotsa curries and dhal and garlic naan and cheese naan and mango lesi (it's like mango yoghurt drink but wayyy better)!!! And it cost us like 3.50 a cup.O.o
The naan was also quite expensive, given the small amount. The briyani that Joo Fei ate was cheaper. He had, i think, 3 types of dhal and curry and a kebab.
After that, we headed to The Cathay for a movie. The Informant (which according to Anjney - the portable Wikipedia was reputed to be Matt Damon's best movie yet.). Crazy show. Damn farnee! Omgosh! The music made it more retarded! hahahahha...great movie.
Then, Adelyn wanted to eat Ben and Jerry's. So, we brought her there. Was broke. Didn't eat. haha..
Played Indian Poker there. Practically lepaked the rest of the evening there. The person who lost twice had to do a forfeit. A dare. I got dared to go into a waxing shop and ask how much it was to wax my eyebrows and eyelashes. O.o (eyelashes?!) Yeap. So, it cost $18 to wax your eyebrows and I got recommended to another shop to wax eyelashes. The salesperson was like : *stunned* You can go to our sister shop. Their better at this area (or something like that). Dunno whether the girl understand or misheard that I wanted a eyelash waxing or thought that I wanted a eyebrow wax. Is it even possible to wax your eyelashes??? I wonder. Who would anyway? haha..
Then, went to Carl's Jr for a burger because Adelyn was craving for burgers. I shared half a Guacamole Bacon Cheeseburger (or something like that) with Adelyn. It was heavenly.
Then, we went back.
Yesterday, Nick and I went for the YFC Awards Ceremony (Finally!! IT's OVER!!!) It was from 10.15am to about 1pm. The event was supposed to start at 10.15am but the President only came at about 11am. I wonder why VIPs are always late...Yes, the President is the Presedent of Singapore. (S.R. Nathan) Cool, huh? Because this was a President's Challenge event.
Then, after that, left to go to Expo for the MPH book sales and John Little Mega Sale. There were soo soo many cheap stuff (Cheap to Singaporeans. The crowd there was like 'WOW!')For MPH, it was like 1 book for $5 and 5 books for $20 or 1 book for $8 and 5 books for $30. Cheap. Nuff said. Surprisingly, Nick spent a very long time in there for a guy who doesn't like reading books. Haha..summore had to wait for me, bookworm, to finish browsing for books. Altogether, I bought $35 worth of books. Satisfying. (7 books altogether) Met Caesar, Shubh, (both were there for the second time in 2 days) Joanne, Shing Yee, Marian, Adrian and Gracia there. They came later.
Bought stuff for my brothers there. Nick got mistaken as a salesperson for 4 times!!! hahah...he was quite insulted, (I think?) but for me, it was hilarious! You should have seen his face! HAHAHHAHA!!! Epic! (cause, we were wearing school uniforms. haha)You look 'old' now Nick! =P After that, wanted to carry my bag so it made him look less like a salesperson. I think if he hadn't done that, he would have made it 5 times! XD
There was also an Asian Food Fair. Nick and I were trying the free samples given out there. Bak kwa, tuna, drinks, we also bought shark's fin soup (fake, of course) and ate Mr. Bean ice cream and yogurt.
Then, ate at Annalakshmi (not sure if it's spelt right) at Chinatown. It's serves like the best Indian vegetarian food ever, man! And best of all, you can pay however much you like! According to Shubh, who took us there in the first place, it's because they do this for charity. You can pay nothing, but of course, it's courtesy to at least pay something (at least $3 la..) or according to an estimate of how much you ate. We always pay $5 per person. It's damn good. The food's awesome! The whole restaurant looks like some 5 star restaurant. Very conceptual. Has the whole Indian theme.
We're taking the seniors (Joanne, Shing Yee, Priyanka and Kushi) there on Tuesday after their main A Level papers are over.
Work shadowing starts tomorrow! Which means the my school term has sort of ended because I don't have to go this last week of school! There will be a 2-day conference at the Supreme Court. I kinda both dread it and looking forward to it at the same time.
Seriously, I have some emotional issues these few days. (Shing Yee!!!I'm sorry for disturbing you!!! And thanks so much for taking time off to listen to my whining and complaints. If you were not there I probably would have exploded and burst-ted! How am I gonna survive next year here without you???)
I feel so shitty.
Blame it on my overactive brain who seems to wander into territories best left unwandered. Seriously. Tried to do stuff that would distract my brain, like going to pick Jon up from the airport - he's back for the holidays from Sydney and going out with my relatives from Sydney who are here for the holidays:)
Don't get me wrong. It's not about my scholarship (though you are free to think that it is).
Well, I gotta go soon. Will do some research for awhile then go to sleep. Ahh, sleep. The best remedy to distract.
I dread and not dread the coming days because of what I will see.
End.
