I have just realized how long it is since I last blogged. Sorry to all of you who are still 'reading' my blog but coming here to find no new posts since...July, I think?
Well, here I am. Again. I'm blogging in school actually. Not that anyone cares. It's PW week. Again. I hate PW. PW is ruining my life, my friends' life, everyone's life! Okay,...maybe not everyone. But, it does become a platform for classmates to be bonded closer to one another.
What is PW? you might be wondering...
Well, it's the second most retarded subject after Moral, in my opinion. It's all about frying your brains to come up with an idea that no one has done before (or at least is not that noticeable) for your project.
1st stage: Preliminary Idea (PI)
You have to come up with an idea of what you want your project to be based on. The 2 topics given for this year would be:
a) Emergency
b) Conservation
My PI was on emergency. Don't really wanna go into details here. hah..
2nd stage: Group Project Proposal (GPP)
We're all divided into groups of 4 or 5 and we would choose the best PI from our group to start our project. Well, my group happens to be the only all girl group in my class and the only group with 5 members in it (me, Ariena, Debbie, Esther, Grace). We picked Debbie's project which is the conservation of ice balls (ais kepal). It's all about writing out a proposal on what we want to do and our plans for the project.
3rd stage: Evaluation of Materials (EOM)
We have to pick an article about our project and, yes, evaluate it.
4th stage: Written Report (WR)
THE BIG HEADACHE. Giving me and my friends sleepless nights and toil during the day. I can't wait for this to be over! (It's ongoing now. Submission's on Wednesday.) I can't stand it! It's the most troublesome part of the project. You have to summarize your whole project on 3000 words! WTH... how can 3000 words be enough?
5th stage: Oral Presentation (OP)
You guessed it. No other words can explain it better. The most important part of the whole PW experience where you'll be graded on how well you talk and answer your questions. External examiners will be there to grade you too. Makes it the most intimidating of all. Mine's set on the 9th Nov. Wish me luck!
6th stage: Insights and Reflections (I&R)
We're supposed to write what we think about our whole project, what we think we could have done more for our project in terms of expanding our strategies and stuff.
This is the cause of my coming to school last Saturday and, guess what? SUNDAY:((((
Stupeeed.
Kevin bought a new bag. CRUMPLER. ARGGGGH..hahah..nice shade of brown. He just left to see my PW teacher. Maybe I should take it?XD hahha...he'll be so heartbroken!
I feel like I haven't talked to two of my closest friends - Nicholas and Caesar - besides Adelyn and Shing Yee since the WR dateline is drawing near. Everyone's practically busy with their own work and out the whole day with their group mates. Me feels sad:(
I hope our batch doesn't drift apart like our seniors' batch. It would be heart-breaking..
Well, I can only hope that PW would end soon (2 weeks away). Then, we could all sama-sama chat and do crazy stuff and go out again :D
Ahhhhhhhhhhh....................
