Welcome to (a piece of my life)!
Hi people! Well, this is just something that I started to keep me posted on my life so when I look back years later when I'm grey and old, I'll still have something to remind me of the good, old days while I was still young. hahaha..
For you people who know me, I guess this would be where you can find out about how I am and stuff? yea..especially my gila gang from secondary school. We're all separated and in different parts of the world now. Studying..
I may not update it that often (so I keep saying) so, I apologize in advance.
I love you People.

Well, these few days have been crazy.
Just celebrated Adelyn's birthday today. Brought her to eat Tandoori at Jaggi's at Little India. Great food. But also, great price! Gosh..the 13 of us ate a grand total of $143 (after GST) O.o
*13 of us comprised of : Adelyn (Birthday girl), Me, Nick, Anjney, Aaron, Ankush, Ravjit, Chun Kit, Cai Yi, Dharlynnie, Caesar, Shubh and Shao Wen.
Yeap. But the food was really great. We had lotsa curries and dhal and garlic naan and cheese naan and mango lesi (it's like mango yoghurt drink but wayyy better)!!! And it cost us like 3.50 a cup.O.o The naan was also quite expensive, given the small amount. The briyani that Joo Fei ate was cheaper. He had, i think, 3 types of dhal and curry and a kebab.
After that, we headed to The Cathay for a movie. The Informant (which according to Anjney - the portable Wikipedia was reputed to be Matt Damon's best movie yet.). Crazy show. Damn farnee! Omgosh! The music made it more retarded! hahahahha...great movie.
Then, Adelyn wanted to eat Ben and Jerry's. So, we brought her there. Was broke. Didn't eat. haha..
Played Indian Poker there. Practically lepaked the rest of the evening there. The person who lost twice had to do a forfeit. A dare. I got dared to go into a waxing shop and ask how much it was to wax my eyebrows and eyelashes. O.o (eyelashes?!) Yeap. So, it cost $18 to wax your eyebrows and I got recommended to another shop to wax eyelashes. The salesperson was like : *stunned* You can go to our sister shop. Their better at this area (or something like that). Dunno whether the girl understand or misheard that I wanted a eyelash waxing or thought that I wanted a eyebrow wax. Is it even possible to wax your eyelashes??? I wonder. Who would anyway? haha..
Then, went to Carl's Jr for a burger because Adelyn was craving for burgers. I shared half a Guacamole Bacon Cheeseburger (or something like that) with Adelyn. It was heavenly.
Then, we went back.
Yesterday, Nick and I went for the YFC Awards Ceremony (Finally!! IT's OVER!!!) It was from 10.15am to about 1pm. The event was supposed to start at 10.15am but the President only came at about 11am. I wonder why VIPs are always late...Yes, the President is the Presedent of Singapore. (S.R. Nathan) Cool, huh? Because this was a President's Challenge event.
Then, after that, left to go to Expo for the MPH book sales and John Little Mega Sale. There were soo soo many cheap stuff (Cheap to Singaporeans. The crowd there was like 'WOW!')For MPH, it was like 1 book for $5 and 5 books for $20 or 1 book for $8 and 5 books for $30. Cheap. Nuff said. Surprisingly, Nick spent a very long time in there for a guy who doesn't like reading books. Haha..summore had to wait for me, bookworm, to finish browsing for books. Altogether, I bought $35 worth of books. Satisfying. (7 books altogether) Met Caesar, Shubh, (both were there for the second time in 2 days) Joanne, Shing Yee, Marian, Adrian and Gracia there. They came later.
Bought stuff for my brothers there. Nick got mistaken as a salesperson for 4 times!!! hahah...he was quite insulted, (I think?) but for me, it was hilarious! You should have seen his face! HAHAHHAHA!!! Epic! (cause, we were wearing school uniforms. haha)You look 'old' now Nick! =P After that, wanted to carry my bag so it made him look less like a salesperson. I think if he hadn't done that, he would have made it 5 times! XD
There was also an Asian Food Fair. Nick and I were trying the free samples given out there. Bak kwa, tuna, drinks, we also bought shark's fin soup (fake, of course) and ate Mr. Bean ice cream and yogurt.
Then, ate at Annalakshmi (not sure if it's spelt right) at Chinatown. It's serves like the best Indian vegetarian food ever, man! And best of all, you can pay however much you like! According to Shubh, who took us there in the first place, it's because they do this for charity. You can pay nothing, but of course, it's courtesy to at least pay something (at least $3 la..) or according to an estimate of how much you ate. We always pay $5 per person. It's damn good. The food's awesome! The whole restaurant looks like some 5 star restaurant. Very conceptual. Has the whole Indian theme. We're taking the seniors (Joanne, Shing Yee, Priyanka and Kushi) there on Tuesday after their main A Level papers are over.
Work shadowing starts tomorrow! Which means the my school term has sort of ended because I don't have to go this last week of school! There will be a 2-day conference at the Supreme Court. I kinda both dread it and looking forward to it at the same time.
Seriously, I have some emotional issues these few days. (Shing Yee!!!I'm sorry for disturbing you!!! And thanks so much for taking time off to listen to my whining and complaints. If you were not there I probably would have exploded and burst-ted! How am I gonna survive next year here without you???)
I feel so shitty.
Blame it on my overactive brain who seems to wander into territories best left unwandered. Seriously. Tried to do stuff that would distract my brain, like going to pick Jon up from the airport - he's back for the holidays from Sydney and going out with my relatives from Sydney who are here for the holidays:)
Don't get me wrong. It's not about my scholarship (though you are free to think that it is).
Well, I gotta go soon. Will do some research for awhile then go to sleep. Ahh, sleep. The best remedy to distract.
I dread and not dread the coming days because of what I will see.
End.

I could go back to every laugh But I don't want to go there anymore and I know all the steps up to your door But I don't want to go there anymore Talk to the wind, talk to the sky Talk to the man with the reasons why And let me know what you find
I'll leave my window open Cause I'm too tired tonight to call your name Just know I'm right here hoping You'll come in with the rain
I could stand up and sing you a song But I don't want to have to go that far and I I've got you down, I know you by heart And you don't even know where I start Talk to yourself, talk to the tears Talk to the man who put you here Don't wait for the sky to clear
I've watched you so long screamed your name I don't know what else I can say
But I'll leave my window open Cause I'm too tired tonight for all these games Just know I'm right here hoping You'll come in with the rain
I could go back to every laugh But I don't want to go there anymore..

Went to Orchard today. Kononnya Isetan at Shaw House got sale=.= Blame Nick. Haha..Only Triumph and Billabong got warehouse sale.lol The Christmas decos along Orchard are up by the way. Reindeers. Cool. The lights were so pretty! Wish I brought a camera. I'm a little short-fused today, I think. Sorry. But I still try to control it. It's unfair if I vent it on others. I know. Thanks Caesar for the sushi you sneaked out of the Sakae buffet for us=) It was good. (Just so you know, he did not steal. They paid for it but couldn't finish. So they 'tapao-ed'.) Gonna be out of cash soon. Waiting for YFC to reimburse me my money... I wish I were home, but then again, at the same time, not...Why? Me also confused. Tomorrow's class outing. Gonna meet at City Hall, eat lunch and go bowling. A little bored now, I guess. Waiting for Nick to bathe so we can watch a movie... I have no idea what I should do for my Independent Study. I need a topic! HELP!!!!! Mum says I have to get an A for Chem then only will I be allowed to stay here...How's that gonna be possible? It's such a large jump to make! But I still have to believe I can. Bryan registered for SAM at Taylor's. Taylor Swift rocks my socks=) Go listen to 'New Perspective' by Panic! At The Disco. Eva, Erika, Serene and Jasmynn!!! I miss you guys soo sooo much=( When will it ever end?=( I don't like this feeling of insecure-ness. *sigh* Oh well, Facebook? I don't know what to do there anymore. I wonder how I used to spend ridiculous amount of time there...No offense Eva. Haha.. we all know how much you love Facebook. Am using the computer in the study room. Timer's gonna run out. so, ciaos! Gonna go back to my room to gulp down a bottle of water. Thirsty me;)

New Blog Template
Yeap, I have finally found time to change my blog template. I kinda like this one coz it's simple, yet girly. Hahah..Plus, I like that nearly the entries section is bigger. As in it covers a wider screen area (Don't know if you understand what I'm saying...).
Stupid ants.
Oh well, off to play Sims 2!

Okayy... ANNOUNCEMENT: PW IS NOW OFFICIALLY OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! since yesterday:D
Yayness.
My leave to go back not approved=.= They said that since next week is lecture week, I'm supposed to use this time to consult my teachers if I'm doubtful of anything. What??!! Coz my results weren't so good...my fault.
Anyways, that means I can go for my first class outing ever! I feel so bad for not going to the two class outings before. One, because I went back. Two, because I went back!
Ahahahaha..
I managed to do 50 MCQ questions yesterday on Atomic Structure:D Feel accomplished yo!
Just sort of woke up. The whole day left to lepak. So's the rest of the week XD
A Levels officially start today. Maths.
I wish all my seniors good luck:D
Shing Yee, Joanne, Peng Soon, Jonathan, Ricky, Kingston, Chan, Seng Keat, Niko etc.
I know you guys can do well. You've been busy mugging and prep-ing the whole year!
I have nothing to do now - since PW's over. In canteen. Ravjit competing with me for the internet coz we're both downloading movies. LOL. But surprisingly, the internet speed's still quite fast!
Childish.
Nick and Caesar has most probably finished their PW too.
I keep coughing. One after another. First, sore throat, then, flu, then, cough =.=
Non-stop la...
Keep coughing even as I sleep. Irritating.
Woke up this morning just to send good luck to Aaron, Nick, Caesar, Adelyn and Shao Wen. See? I so good. Hahah... but then I went back to sleep. XD
Waiting for lunchtime to come. Maybe going McD? But, I'm coughing =.=
Kevin's come to join us. He called me this morning to ask if I wanted to follow him to Kallang to service his lappie. I was still tossing and turning in bed. Lazy to get up. Coz nothing to do, and no one to talk to. So, sleep la! Didn't end up going with him though. Still haven't bathed. haha.. Sorry Kevin!
So, he's telling me about the guy saying that his thingy on the com that keeps popping out can't be repaired.
Very hungry right now...
*Stomach growls*
Ravjit sprained his ankle. He keeps saying that his ankle pain for like the 4th time. haha.. It's like this, he went to watch hockey at NTU with Aaron (surprisingly. Very Surprisingly.) and Adelyn (who's joined Hockey after quitting Debate. Complicated.) So, he's watching the match. It was a friendly. Our girls' hockey team lost 2-0 to secondary school boys. Believe it or not. The guys' hockey team only won like 1-0. The secondary school boys were that good. Ravjit says he could believe it. Haha.. yea, so after the match, while they were getting up to leave, he didn't see the steps and he tripped and sprained his ankle. Haha.. There were no injuries for those actually playing the match, but, for him, who merely watched the match, managed to GG-ly sprain his ankle. Dugna G.haha..
Battery gonna konk liao.
Ciaos!

Okay..it's late. Yep..L.A.T.E.
Me for being curious and all. Stupid. Curiosity does kill the cat, I guess. Causing more emotional problems for myself and such. Not that I don't already have any. This just adds to it.
Oh ya. Surprise surprise! My mum has Facebook. Yeap. Maybe she'll be like Anjney's mum. Add all my friends and stuff. She added Kevin. lol...He asked me yesterday.
Kevin: Hey, is ........ your mum? Me : Yeap. I just found out she has a Facebook account. Kevin : Parents are invading Facebook. Me : Yeap. Probably wants to see what I'm doing over here. Kevin : Even my relatives have Facebook accounts. Me : lol
Yeap. Parents are getting more tech-savvy nowadays. Haha.. I remember asking my mum if she knew how to operate Microsoft Excel to draw the graphs for the stupid Geog folio (I think?) where we had to insert all the graphs and stuff, and... I was not really expecting my mum to know much about it. You see, I had, at that point in time, thought my parents to not know much about computers since they were always saying how we young people can easily pick up how to operate stuff in a snap. Bad of me. Yes, I know. But that was my perception at the time. Still have some of that perception in me though.. But back to the story (it's a story now?), so I asked my mum, and she showed me. I was like wow-ed? yea...proved me wrong, she did. The next day she came back with a printed stack of instructions and guides on how to use Excel. She said she made little notes while she was learning how to use it when she first started. Awww....it's lying dusty on my shelf back home. Still in good condition though! Bad me.
Well, went Whampoa just now. To eat, of course. Had kway chap (it's a different version of kuay tiao kia back home. No need to ask. Of course everything is better back home. Even the price.). Originally went there with the intention of eating yong tau fu. But ended up eating something else instead! What the heck. haha..
I now officially have the flu for 4 days consecutively. No, it's not swine flu. Don't worry.
Going Isetan at Shaw House tomorrow. Nick said there's a sale there. So's Robinson's at Expo.
Man, I feel so unprepared for OP on Monday.
P.S. This was typed on Saturday. I just posted it today! hahahaha

My room is so ant infested. Those huge black ants. Red too. Irritating. F.
So's the weather. HOT. SO HOT. I sweat even after I showered. Flu's still here. *sniff sniff*
Went Esther's house this morning for PW. We were all nice and comfy in her room, air con blasting. Finished and finalized our OP slides and script. All that's left is to memorize it and wait for Monday to come.
****gone to take tissue to blow my nose****
Feel short-tempered to day. Don't mind me. Maybe I should sleep. Get myself back. Probably just the lack of sleep that's causing me to be snappy. Then again, my nose contributes to my snappy-ness also. zzz...
Well, off I go. Slumberland awaits!

date/time 12:52 AM
It's been almost a year. Well, what can I say? Seems like just yesterday that I set foot into McNair Lodge. I still remember searching the internet for pictures of the hostel that I would be living in for the next 2 years, coming across Kingston's blog (He happens to be my senior in this hostel, but I didn't know him yet at that time. He's the senior with the red face. haha..) and looking at the pictures. I said to myself and those around me at the time, "eww"...shoes strewn all over, small rooms and what not..first impressions really killed the place. I didn't want to go. My mind was still set on going to Taylor's College; just as my friends and I have planned since early Form 5.
Since entering the hostel, greeted by the sign "Welcome Scholars" (which happens to be still stuck forever at the entrance; we all thought that they had stuck it there to welcome us but turns out, it's forever stuck there!) and looking at the hostel surroundings, the wading pool in the middle which later became the place where we celebrate birthdays and dump the birthday guy or gal into the pool XD
Entering the room, I was quite disappointed at the size of the cupboard that each of us were allocated. It's too small to keep everything I had brought. Hence, my room is now a mess. A HUGE MESS. Especially my table. In addition to the already small room and walking space, it's 5 people to a room! I really marvel at how the guys can keep their rooms so neat and tidy, especially Aaron, Ravjit and Caesar's room. It must be Caesar's constant mopping the floor and tidying up the room in the middle of the night, what with him being nocturnal and all. I'm not saying that Aaron and Rav are untidy, just that with Caesar there, it's super clean and neat. And I thought girls were the ones who were supposed to be neat. Hah..proves me wrong! Anyways, in my defense, girls have wayy many more stuff (toiletries, revision books and clothings) than guys.
Moving on, the canteen. Our beloved gathering area where we meet almost every night to chat and surf the internet. The hostel internet really sucks. It's always down since the mid of the year. Plus, there is a limit as to how many people can access it at a time. Really a hassle especially during Project Work period where internet connectivity is essential. Thank gawd I subscribed to a portable internet, my trusty M1 modem which is slow loading sometimes, but still, better than nothing. Really gotta invest in one of these things out here. It becomes really handy in times to come.
The internet's free, laundry service is free, air-conditioning is free, heater is free, come to think of it, despite the small rooms, getting these free stuff is better than the other hostels out there (They have to pay for what we get for free! Muahahahaha).
The mamak shop! The place we hang out the most here. Conveniently located near our hostel (only a good 10 to 15 minutes walk from our hostel), we chill there most nights enjoying Masala thosai, roti prata, MILO AIS! and many more. Even the shopkeeper there knows us! I mean, of course la, regular customers wat...
Bendemeer Market, where there is a hawker centre and our favourite Veggie Pizza (so not vegetarian) and Takoyaki (Octopus ball) stall. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get there from our hostel. Another hawker centre would be the Whampoa Food Court. Similar-to-Malaysian-food galore! We only just recently found it and is the place where we seek refuge whenever we feel like feeling Malaysian. There's satay, ikan bakar, etc etc...huge place. Of course, cannot compare to Malaysian food, but it's the best we've got. Price also very nice:) *sarcastic*
Sheng Siong. The mini market where we could get our groceries easily at a relatively cheaper price. Located only 10 minutes away from our hostel, on the way to the mamak shop.
Really glad that we have so many places near our hostel. Unlike NJC's hostel (National Junior College) where they have to walk really far just to get to the nearest bus-stop to take them to places for groceries and stuff. Went there once, to visit Chun Kit and Edmund. Sneaked into Chun Kit's room. The place is really strict. Each has an access card that can only access their own floor where their room is located at. Plus, they have teachers staying there as well! Imagine the tension. LOL..kidding.
Suddenly thought of the salesman that comes to my grandma's house every Wednesday to sell kedai runcit kind of stuff like dried food stuff and eggs. We call him the egg man.hahahah.."AH MA! EGG MAN IS HERE!" Then we will buy snacks and sweets, bread, sauces, bla... I like the smell of the van. ahaha...very homely smell. I wonder if he still goes to my grandma's house. The uncle's quite old liao. So's his light green van.
I have digressed. Back to life in Singapore. I think I'm jumping from point to point. Forgive me if it's confusing. Just typing it as it comes into my mind=)
I think friendships here, well, some of it, is very superficial. Like surface level kind of friendships. Don't like it. I mean, between us Directs, I think we're pretty bonded. As in we can confide in each other. Was just having this convo with Nick the other night.
Coming here really opened my eyes to different types of people. Some are bold, headstrong, stubborn, have really strong opinions about certain matters. Take my PW group for example, some of them don't compromise and give in to each others ideas. They will demand an explaination. WHY? WHY? WHY? I can't give you the explaination! Sometimes, things just are!
Why don't people compromise? That way, no misunderstandings! I mean, not compromise to the extent that you compromise for the wrong stuff. But if someone else's idea is better, accept it la..
COMPROMISE AND GIVING IN.
Sometimes, giving in would help make situations less tense. And everyone would be happy, well, almost? That's my point of view. Don't know if you get what I mean. haha..
In another case, however, Adelyn has a PW group mate who doesn't even contribute at all! It's like this, even though that person does not contribute, she'll still get roughly the same marks as her other group mates who slog their asses off doing this project. Unfair, right? That's why Adelyn's pissed. Super pissed.
I just realized that almost everywhere I go, every school I go to so far has the name Adeline or Adelyn in it. Haha..
I'm taking lifeless quizzes on Facebook as I type this.lol
Currently having a freakin' flu/cold whatever and sore throat and feel feverish. Shit...I have OP assessment on Monday (9/11/2009)! God help me. I HAVE to recover by then.
Slept a lot yesterday. 4.30 to 7.30pm and from 12 something to 8.00am. Then, had to go Esther's house in Kovan for PW OP dry run. Dragged myself out of bed. Reached Kovan with Ariena at 9am only to my blurness found out that we were too early. The actual meeting time was 9.30am. Thanks to me and my blurness, sat on the floor in the MRT station in front of the wall concealing the fire hose for a good half an hour reflecting on our PW group and project. Slept on Esther's marble floor. (We were doing work in the living room and lying on the floor. Then, I accidentally slept. Oops! Too lethargic. Seriously. Must be the flu/cold/whatever.)
Esther's mum made chicken curry for all of us hungry souls. Really good stuff! Ate with bread and corn. Yumm.. I miss home-cooked food to the max! Debbie was funny. Cause she cannot tahan spicy food, so she was "Omg..how can you all finish the gravy! So spicy! I struggling to finish it, you know!" The last time, she ate some nasi ayam thing (I forgot the exact name. I was some Indon food) at Food Republic, Vivo City and she was practically in tears. She couldn't even eat black pepper! haha...
I freezing in the study room. Air con blowing at me. Feel like a popsicle. lalala...
I sneezed. Hurts my throat.
Have PW in Esther's house again..lazy to go. But I must! just for another 3 days?
*sniff sniff*
end..
dunno what to type liao. This is just a spam-what-I'm-feeling-at-the-moment thing.
Gona type my OP script out. Sheesh.
Oh ya! coz this week is PW week ryt..so, yesterday my timetable was only civics from 8.00 to 9.00am where we had free ice-cream coz my class won 3rd place for best conduct of the year! UNEXPECTED. SERIOUSLY.
After that, we watched Shutter (a horror movie) and Passengers (thriller). On the projector. In class. Padahal we supposed to use the time for our own PW practice. haha...
My class is like less antoo about PW compared to Nick's and Caesar's class. I salute their class, man!
Well, the Sec 3 juniors came in just last mid-month. They've all gone to their respective hostels liao. The other week we took them out to Bugis to shop, had a Seniors-Meet-Juniors session by the pool (some of them skeptical to come because they scared kena dumped in the pool! ahhaha!)
Now, the Vietnamese and Indon scholars for the Sec 3 batch next year has arrived. Places all fully occupied.
kk. Now I shall really end my post. hahah
